Terms and Conditions for Vigil

Effective date: 22.08.2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vigil mobile application (“Vigil”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using Vigil, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the App.

1. About Vigil

Vigil is an Android application that helps keep the device screen awake while the feature is enabled.

The App uses Android system functionality, including a foreground service, notifications, and a wake lock. The actual behavior of the App may depend on the device manufacturer, Android version, battery settings, permissions, and other system restrictions.

2. Eligibility

You may use Vigil only if you are legally permitted to do so under the laws applicable to you.

If you are a minor, you should use the App only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use Vigil:

4. Permissions and Device Behavior

Vigil may request permissions required for its functionality, including notification permission.

You are responsible for deciding whether to grant or revoke permissions. If required permissions are denied or later revoked, some or all App functionality may not work.

Vigil cannot guarantee that the screen will remain awake in every situation. Android, the device manufacturer, battery-saving features, phone calls, system events, or other applications may override or interrupt the App’s behavior.

Using a wake lock may increase battery consumption or device temperature. You are responsible for monitoring your device and using the App appropriately.

5. Availability and Updates

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Vigil at any time.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Android device or future Android version.

Some features may require a particular Android version, system permission, device configuration, or internet connection in the future.

6. Advertisements

Vigil may display advertisements.

If advertisements are introduced, they may be provided by third-party advertising partners. Those partners may process information in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies.

The presence of an advertisement does not mean that we endorse the advertised product or service.

Any changes to data processing resulting from advertising will be reflected in the Privacy Policy where required by applicable law.

7. Paid Features and In-App Purchases

Vigil may offer paid features, premium functionality, subscriptions, or other in-app purchases.

If paid features are introduced:

Unless required by applicable law or the applicable payment provider’s policies, purchases are generally non-refundable.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details when purchases are processed by Google Play.

8. Intellectual Property

Vigil, including its source code, design, graphics, text, name, trademarks, and other content, is owned by or licensed to:

CODEZAUR Dominik Lipiński

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, lawful purposes.

You may not copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, modify, or create derivative works from the App unless expressly permitted by applicable law or by us in writing.

9. Third-Party Services

Vigil may interact with Android system services, Google Play, external websites, advertising providers, payment providers, or other third-party services.

Third-party services are controlled by their respective providers and may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vigil is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer rights or statutory warranties that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CODEZAUR Dominik Lipiński will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, battery life, device functionality, or business interruption arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, Vigil.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Vigil and uninstall it at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to Vigil, or discontinue the App, if necessary to protect the App, its users, third parties, or to comply with applicable law.

Upon termination, you must stop using the App and uninstall it if applicable.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, its features, pricing, advertising, or legal requirements change.

Updated Terms will be published at the URL where these Terms are made available and will include a revised effective date. Your continued use of Vigil after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the country where you reside, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

Any dispute will be handled by the courts or dispute-resolution bodies that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
